How to Make a Neopet Shop
Neopets is a free virtual world in which community members are able to raise cute virtual pets, collect and trade items, go on quests and play games. Running a shop on Neopets is not only fun, it is also a great way to earn neopoints. Neopoints are like currency in the Neopets world, needed to purchase items for pets or to participate in some of the games and challenges. A successful shop can make you a wealthy Neopian.

Be sure you have at least 150 neopoints in your account, which is the cost of opening a shop. If you don't have this amount, you can visit the games section and play games that help you earn neopoints until you have enough.

Look at the options across the top of the window and position your mouse pointer over the one that says "shop." From the drop-down menu, select "your shop." This will be the easiest way to get to your shop once you've created it. The new window that appears will have a box called, "the marketplace." Click on "create/edit your shop."

Fill out the form on the page and click submit on the bottom of the page. This will open a basic shop with space to sell five items at a time. Whenever you would like to sell more items, you can revisit this page and upgrade your shop for an additional neopoints charge.

Find items to sell in your shop by navigating the Neopets website. You can sell items that you find, that you win in games or from completing quests, or that you purchase from other shops.

Stock your shop by going to your inventory. Click on an item and a new smaller window will open up with a drop-down box asking you to "choose an action." Select "put it in your shop" and click on the "submit" button. The item will be moved to your shop.

Return to your shop. The page will now display a listing of the items you have put there. Set a price for each item by typing the amount you wish to charge in the box next to the item's picture. Click the "update" button on the bottom, and your items will now be visible and available for sale to anyone who visits your shop.

Click on "shop till" when you've made a sale. The page will display the amount of neopoints your shop has collected. You can withdraw these at any time by typing in the amount you want and clicking the "withdraw" button.

Check and restock your shop regularly to keep the neopoints coming in.

Tips & Warnings
If you have just opened a new Neopets account, you will have to wait 24 hours before you can open a shop. Use the Shop Wizard to check the prices for items in other shops. Competitive pricing will help you sell your merchandise more quickly. Haggle with shopkeepers in official Neopets shops to purchase stock for your shop at a bargain so that you can make a profit.
You cannot sell items in your inventory marked "no trade." You cannot sell Neocash items for neopoints. Once you pay to open or upgrade a shop, you cannot close it or downgrade it. You cannot get back the neopoints you spent.
