Over-the-counter diet pills are a tempting way to lose weight. Companies selling diet pills promise noticeable results in a matter of weeks. How to Compare Best Over-the-Counter Diet Pills

  1. Step 1

Create a list of the over-the-counter diet pills that you are interested in buying. This will help you stay focused and will keep you from getting confused as you research and compare. The easiest way to do this is to use small notebook to record the names of all of the diet pills that you are interested in along with the information you find.

  2. Step 2

Start looking for consumer side effect reviews. Find out if any of the over-the-counter diet pills that you are considering have caused negative side effects in others. In most cases, consumers experiencing negative side effects will give detailed information regarding when they have used the diet pills and the dosage taken.

These consumer reviews will give you a more realistic idea of what to expect. Even though all people react differently to various over-the-counter diet pills, consumer reviews are not going to be as positive as the manufacturer reviews. In many situations, consumer reviews will give you a better idea of what you can physically expect to experience along with (or maybe excluding) weight loss.

  3. Step 3

Review over-the-counter diet pill ingredients. It is important to find out what each diet pill contains. In some situations, these ingredients can be attributed to some of the side effects that you have already researched. When looking at ingredients, be sure to record the vitamin content and the percentage of any vitamins the pill contains.

  4. Step 4

Comparing prices. Call your local pharmacies to find out how much they are selling the diet pills for and if they are going to be having any sales soon. When you are asking for prices, be sure to find out the number of pills that you will receive for the price quoted.

After you have called the stores to get prices, contact the manufacturers by phone to see if they would be willing to mail you coupons or free samples. Manufactures are usually willing to provide coupons or free products to new diet pill customers because they are potential monthly paying customers. Once you have written down the prices available in stores and the discounts that you will receive using coupons (if you are able to get coupons), start searching for online deals. Search online drug retailers and auction sites. Be sure to include the shipping price when you are writing down online prices.

  5. Step 5

Narrow your choice of over-the-counter pills down to one or two. Do this by going through the information that you have recorded and picking the pills with the least side effects, largest quantity of pills and most reasonable price. When you have narrowed your choices to two different over-the-counter pills, decide which you want to purchase and try.

If you are having an extremely hard time making up your mind, consult co-workers, friends and pharmacy workers. Pharmacy staff have often heard about the results of various diet pills directly from their patients. They often will be willing and able to tell you which of the diet pills have received the most customer complaints and which have received the most compliments.

  6. Step 6

Try the chosen diet pill for a month or two, and record your experiences and results. Keep track of any negative side effects, and consult your physician if you have any serious problems. At the end of the month, if you are not satisfied or if you are still curious about another over-the-counter diet pill, do not be afraid to try it. Never feel obligated to stick with a particular diet pill if you do not think it is giving you the results you want.
