      Visit the Family History Library Catalog to see if any information is available for the person in question (see link in References). This directory will tell you where there is information for people that lived in a certain town or city. When using the search feature, enter the city name for in "Place" text box and leave the other box empty. This will bring up results where you will find information on all people that were naturalized from this area.

      Use the fee-based service through the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Genealogy Program to find information about naturalization records (see link in References). You request an index list or a copy of the record. There are many records available from this service.

      Search Ancestry.com to find naturalization records (see link in References). Not only can you find these records, but the census records also record the year of naturalization. You can sign up for a month membership, which is relatively affordable.

      Search individual states at Finding Naturalization Records to see what records are available for each state (see link in Resources). Some states have records dating back to 1783.
