Instructions

  1. Installing C&C Zero Hour

    • 1

Insert the Zero Hour disc. Read the terms of agreement and decide if you will accept them or not.

    • 2

Select the installation directory. This is where all the game data will be stored. It goes to the C drive by default.

    • 3

Input the CD-key. This is usually located in the disc case.

    • 4

Click "Finish." After installation, decide where you want icons to be placed for quick access to the game.

    • 5

Launch the game. You will prompted with the opportunity to auto-configure the game. Auto-configure will match the game settings according to your computer hardware. If your system surpasses the recommended system requirements, all settings will be set to High. You can configure manually by going to the Options menu.

    General Instructions

    • 6

Choose a solo campaign or multiplayer mode to begin playing. If you choose multiplayer, you will be prompted to patch the game and won't be able to access to multiplayer server at all until you do. The game will patch and restart automatically.

    • 7

Choose between USA, GLA and China. Each faction has pros and cons. Use the in-game overview to learn about each individual faction and unit.

    • 8

Choose a build order. A build order is the sequence in which your buildings are created. Build orders usually set the pace of the early game and determine which units you are able to produce early on.

    • 9

Scout the map. Use one of your early worker units to find the location of your opponent's base. Scouts are also good for discovering build orders early on and keeping tab on your opponents for as long as they're alive. Likewise, you'll want to take out your opponent's scout as fast as possible.

    • 10

Save dying units. While some units die almost instantaneously, some can be saved by "microing." Microing refers to clicking a unit that is taking damage and sending it away from the fight, so it can be healed and used again later on. This saves resources (and time) that would have otherwise been spent on creating a completely new unit.
