How to Buy Sirius Stock Online

Satellite radio broadcaster Sirius is becoming a standard or optional feature in many new cars. Its merger with XM made Sirius the leader in satellite radio, but because of the large amount of debt that Sirius acquired from the merger, its stock price is well below the book price. An investor might consider buying Sirius stock online while its price is low and holding on to it.

  1. How to Buy Sirius Stock Online

      Log in to your online broker account by entering your user name and password. If you have not signed up for an account, check out a few reputable brokers (see References).

      Type the stock ticker symbol "SIRI" for Sirius into the stock ticker search bar found on the main screen of your online broker.

      Select "Trade." Click "Buy" and the number of shares that you would like to buy when you are taken to the order screen. Select "Market Order."

      Review your order. Refresh the screen if you are not satisfied with the asking price until the asking price drops to an acceptable number.

      Click "Confirm Order" to finish your order.

  • You must hold on to the stock for a minimum of three days before selling it. Stay up to date with Sirius's market trends and earnings reports.
