Things You'll Need:
- PSPX
- General knowledge of PSPX
- Your Photo
-
Step 1
Open an image that you want to change the eye color on.
-
Step 2
Go to Layers at the top of the palette and click New Raster Layer. Leave the Blend Mode at Normal and Opacity at 100.
-
Step 3
Pick your new eye colorChoose a color you want to change the eyes to in your color palette. I’ve chosen a vivid green here to show off the effect better.
-
Step 4
Paint the irisPick your Brush or Airbrush tool. Make sure the opacity is set low, around 15 or 20. Play with these numbers to get different effects. Zoom in on the image until you think it will be easy to draw lines over the irises. Paint lines around the iris but not into the pupil or outside the edges. The color and lines will seem very vivid and too defined, but we’ll fix that in the next step.
-
Step 5
Go up to Adjust, Blur and choose Gaussian Blur. Play with the Radius setting. Usually a good number is 2 or 3, depending on the eye and the distance. Remember, if you make any mistakes here, you can use the eraser to gently clean up the area. Either into the pupil or outside the lines. Since you are working on another layer, it won’t erase your original image.
-
Step 6
When you’re happy with the effect, go to Layers, Merge, and Merge Visible. You can save the image as is, or, if you’d like to make the eyes stand out a little, choose the Sharpen Brush, the circle shape, and sharpen just the eyes on the photo one time to bring up the color and the clarity.
-
Step 7
Then Save As and you’re done! Here's another sample eye color.
