Things You'll Need

  • Vinegar
  • Uncooked Rice
  • Liquid Dish Soap
  • Warm Water
  • Soft-Bristle Brush

Instructions

      Add about a tablespoon of vinegar to the glass bottle.

      Add a teaspoon of uncooked rice.

      Add a half-teaspoon of liquid dish soap.

      Fill the bottle halfway with warm water.

      Shake the bottle well then let sit for 15 minutes. Repeat.

      For stubborn stains or residue, let the mixture sit overnight.

Tips & Warnings

  • For tough mineral deposits, try a cleanser that removes calcium and lime. Denture tablets may also work.

  • Do not use cold or hot water as a sudden change in temperature can crack glass. Avoid using sand or other abrasive agents when cleaning glass as they can leave scratches. Instead, use copper wool (not steel!) pads or soft-bristle brushes.
