Silicone wristbands or bracelets are an inexpensive way to promote your group, raise money or bring awareness to a cause. You can design your own bracelet or buy awareness bracelets produced by others to support a specific cause, such as the fight against breast cancer or Alzheimer's disease.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Internet access
  • Credit or debit card or PayPal account

    Considerations

  1. Step 1

Determine the phrase that you want embossed on your bracelet. Keep it to fewer than five words or the phrase will be too small to read.

  2. Step 2

Determine the color. If you're creating bracelets for a fundraiser, a bright color will probably attract more buyers. Most major causes use a specific color as part of their message, such as pink for breast cancer or light purple for Alzheimer's. You can find a list of these at: http://kiwijewels.com/awareness_colors_and_meanings.htm.

  3. Step 3

Determine the quantity you wish to order. This is a relatively easy decision for a group such as a school or church; for a fundraiser it might be harder to know how many you can sell. But the more you order, the less it will cost you per bracelet.

  4. Step 4

Have your credit or debit card handy when you are ready to order your bracelets. Type "silicone awareness bracelets" in your Internet browser, and you will get pages of companies to choose from. Compare several until you are comfortable with one company.

Tips & Warnings
  • Some companies offer different sizes of bracelets for children and adults; you may want to order some of each for a fundraiser.
