How to Clean Moen Showerheads

Moen showerheads come in a variety of styles and sizes. They are probably best known for their "waterfall effect," due to their large flat heads. Like all showerheads, Moen showerheds can become clogged and dirty with debris and calcium deposits. It is quite easy to clean a Moen showerhead.with a few household supplies.

Things You'll Need

• Vinegar
• Gallon-sized plastic bag
• Rubber band
• Toothbrush

Instructions

1. Add one part vinegar to one part water directly into gallon-sized plastic bag.

2. Place the bag over the showerhead, so that the showerhead sits inside the bag.

3. Gather the open end of bag in one hand and wrap rubber band around the bag (securing it to the shower head) with the other. You may have to wrap rubber band several times for it to be secure.

4. Allow showerhead to soak for at least one hour.

5. Remove bag.

6. Scrub showerhead with toothbrush to remove any caked-on deposits. Turn on shower to rinse away the vinegar mixture. Showerhead should now be clean.
