How to Design a Jesus T Shirt

If you want to have your own t-shirt with a Jesus design that is all your own, you can design a shirt using your computer. You can use a graphic design program or something as simple as MS Word to make the design for your Jesus t-shirt. You can add images and text as you see fit and end up with a Jesus t-shirt that is one of a kind.

Things You'll Need

• Graphic design program or MS Word
• Bible
• Clip art
• Avery t-shirt transfer sheets

Instructions

1. Purchase a graphic design program from a local computer or electronics store, such as Best Buy. Adobe Photoshop is a popular design program; however you could also use a program like Corel Draw or Adobe Fireworks. You can also purchase some Avery t-shirt transfer sheets to get the design onto the shirt. These come with free templates for the design that will work in MS Word.

2. Launch Photoshop, MS Word, or other design softward to create your design. If you are using one of the Avery templates you will need to use MS Word. If you want to design your shirt totally from scratch you can open Photoshop and create an image that measures around 2000 pixels by 2000 pixels.

3. Get clip art for your design. Gospel Gifs offers free Christian clip art on their website (see Resources). If you find something that you like you can add it into your template in Word or your Photoshop project. Just right-click over the clip art and select "copy" and press "CTRL + V" to paste the image into Word or Photoshop.

4. Look in your Bible for your favorite Bible verse. You can use the "text" option in Photoshop to add a text box with your favorite verse to your design. In MS Word, you can simply type in the verse.

5. When your image and text are set up the way you want them, save your design. If you are using Photoshop you should save the design as a jpeg. If you are using MS Word you can save the design as a doc file. If you have a printer, you should print out a sample of your design and hold it up to a shirt to see how it will fit. You may see that you have extra space you didn't realize and you can go back and add more art or verses.
