Need help with those tricky bunker shots? Heres a helpful hint

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • tees
  • golf balls
  • sand trap and green
  1. Step 1

Find a local putting green that has a practice bunker or visit your local course at a slow time.

  2. Step 2

Set up your ball in the bunker on a tee so that the ball is just resting on the sand. You may want to set up multiple balls in the bunker so you do not have to keep re-teeing.

  3. Step 3

Get a good stance in the bunker and come down with your sand wedge behind the ball in the bunker so that the tee is lifted out of the ground each time. By focusing on popping the tee out of the ground this will reinforce the practice of hitting behind the ball as opposed to "picking" the ball off of the top of the sand.

  4. Step 4

    * Add this in to your practice routine and you should see a difference in your sand play.
