The only thing worse than your bloating stomach is when there seems to be nothing that can bring relieve. This bloating is caused when gas does not pass through by burping or flatulence. Bloating in your stomach is uncomfortable and sometimes painful. The range of causes for a bloating stomach vary from the type of foods you eat to your stress level. Here a few steps to help relieve bloating.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Reduce the amount of foods you eat that can make you produce gas. Cut back on beans, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, and lettuce. Even fruits like apples, pears, and peaches can contribute to bloating.

  2. Step 2

Replace your carbonated drinks with water. Carbonated drinks can contribute to bloating, and drinking lots of water will help flush out your system and help to relieve the bloating and the pressure.

  3. Step 3

Go easy on the diary products. Milk, yogurt, and other diary products become harder to digest the older you get.

  4. Step 4

Reduce the amount of fatty foods you eat. They also take longer to digest and it makes your stomach feel fuller longer, making bloating symptoms worse.

  5. Step 5

Exercise. Walking or doing sit ups and can help relieve that bloating feeling in your stomach. It helps gas that is trapped pass through your digestive system quicker.
