If you want a refreshing summer drink, try a watermelon smoothie. Not only is this drink tasty, it’s good for you as well. A watermelon smoothie doesn’t take a lot of time to make, and it’s a good way to use up any leftover watermelon. Does this Spark an idea?

  • 2 cups of watermelon
  • 1 cup of ice
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • Blender

Instructions

      Slice up 2 cups of watermelon. Put it in the blender. Add 1 cup of ice to the blender.

      Add 1 tablespoon of sugar to the mixture.

      Put your blender on an ice grating setting if you have one. This will help chop up the ice a little bit better. Then blend for two minutes. You may have to stop periodically to stir the mixture around to make sure everything is thoroughly blended.

Tips & Warnings

  • Adjust the ice/watermelon ratio accordingly depending on how many people you need to serve. This ratio should serve two people.

  • Add fun garnishes if you desire. Other fruit pieces go along with this nicely.

  • You can omit the sugar if you do not want it to be too sweet.

  • Summer is the best time to make this drink because that is when watermelon is in season.
