How to Get Rid of Fruit Flies Fast

Fruit flies can be a pain to deal with in the kitchen. This article shows the many ways to rid yourself once and for all of those pesky Dipteras.

• Fly Swatter

1. 
    
   Put them where they belong!

   Put Away All Food
   
   Put away any old, new, dry, wet, food you have laying around your kitchen or room. Fruit flies can feed on anything edible.

   Clean those dishes!

   Wash All The Dishes
   
   Flies like to hover over the kitchen sink. It is feast time if you leave dirty dishes in the sink, because your leftovers, are their full course meals. Make it a habit to wash your dishes and pots and pans once you are done using them.

   Take out that trash!

   Take Out Trash Regularly
   
   Unless you have a trash bin with a top, you should take out the trash everyday. Flies will hover of garbage and look for food within it.

   Catch those peky Dipteras!

   Hang Sticky Fly Tape Traps
   
   Hang sticky fly tape over the sink and entrance to the kitchen or room. You will see immediate results with these traps. The fruit flies will hover to these traps and find their death.

5. 
    
   First class ticket to fly heaven!

   Finish Off The Stragglers With The Fly Swatter
   
   Round out the rest of the fruit flies with some good ol' fashion fly swatting. Killing the occasional fly the old way brings you one step closer to having a fly free kitchen.
