An Alabama Slammer has a good kick for a fruity drink. If you like a screwdriver you'll love this! It's like a Screwdriver and an amaretto sour mixed!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3/4 oz Amaretto
  • 3/4 oz Southern Comfort
  • 3/4 oz Vodka
  • Orange Juice
  • Sweet and Sour
  • Pint Glass
  • Lemon Wedge
  • Cherry
  1. Step 1

An Alabama Slammer is a great sweet drink to keep the good times rolling! Start with a Pint Glass filled with ice to the top!

  2. Step 2

Add 3/4 oz Amaretto, 3/4 oz Southern Comfort, 3/4 Vodka, then equal parts Orange Juice and Sweet and Sour to fill the glass. You can use top shelf vodka if you want, but most bars will just serve you well vodka. With mixed drinks it is very difficult for most people to taste the difference.

  3. Step 3

If you have a shaker, transfer the contents of the pint glass to a shaker and shake it up really good, then pour everything back into the pint glass. If you don't have a shaker, just stir the drink.

  4. Step 4

Garnish with a lemon wedge and a cherry.

Tips & Warnings
  • It is traditional to garnish most drinks with Southern comfort with a lemon and most drinks with Amaretto with a Cherry. "Sour" drinks also typically are garnished with a cherry.
  • Ironically, Cherries are also often used by bartenders to designate virgin drinks.
  • This is a deceptively strong drink! Drink responsibly!
