Things You'll Need:
- 10-12 tart apples (sliced) I like Granny Smith
- 1-1/2 cup sugar
- Lemon juice (few drops)
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 unbeaten egg
- 1/3 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- cream, whipping cream, or ice cream (optional)

Step 1
Fresh apples taste deliciousTo make this apple-cinnamon dessert recipe start by washing and thinly slicing the 10-12 apples into a bowl. Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar and a few drops of lemon juice over the apples and stir gently. Grease a 9x12 baking dish and put the apple mixture into it. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Combine the topping ingredientsMix together with a fork until crumbly: 1 cup flour, 1 cups sugar, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 3/4 teaspoon salt, and 1 unbeaten egg. Pour over the apple mixture.

Yummy!Melt 1/3 cup butter or margarine. Pour this over the top of the sugar-flour mixture. Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees 30-40 minutes or until lightly browned on the top.
This recipe serves 12. Serve warm with milk, cream, whipped cream, or ice cream if desired.
