If you love the smell of freshly brewed coffee, you will want to make this coffee body scrub. It gently exfoliates the skin, leaving it feeling young, fresh and revitalized. This is a simple body scrub recipe to make. You may substitute some ingredients if desired.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Six ounces of Coffee beans, ground up preferably Balinese coffee beans
  • Three tablespoons of kaolin clay or cosmetic clay
  • A pinch of ground pumice
  • one half pound of grated carrots
  • Gelatin which is already set, (optional)

Balinese coffee is the most fragrant of the Indonesian varieties. You can however, substitute your favorite American blend. Crush the dried coffee beans in a food processor until they become very fine. Mix with the kaolin clay and ground pumice stone. Add a dash of water to the mix.

  2. Step 2

Rub the mixture over your entire body, rubbing more vigorously toward the end of the massage. This will help the mixture to slough off dead skin cells.

  3. Step 3

Now mix the grated carrot with the optional gelatin, and massage over your entire body. This helps to replenish any lost moisture due to the exfoliation process.

Finally, take a shower to rinse off the scrubs, and follow up with a moisturizer.
