Find a Mormon Church Easily

Have you heard about Mormons and are curious about attending a church service? The Mormon Church welcomes visitors. In fact, a “Visitors are Welcome” sign is usually on the placard outside of the building. And it turns out that it is extremely easy to find a Mormon church. Read below to find out how.

Step 1

Visit mormon.org. This is an official site of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon is just a nickname).
Step 2

Along the top of the webpage, click on “Worship with Us.” On this webpage, you will find information on what to expect during a worship service as well as a links to find meetinghouses or to take an interactive tour of a chapel.
Step 3

Click on the “Meetinghouse Locator” link. This page will contain places to enter address information and provides maps powered by Google and Microsoft.
Step 4

Enter the city, state, and any other information you know and click on “Search.” A list of addresses will appear for all the nearby Mormon churches.
Step 5

Click on the link for an individual church address. You will see when the worship service meeting starts. Sometimes the worship service is the first meeting. Other times it’s not.

If you have any questions, call the phone number listed for the individual church addresses.

Tips & Warnings

On the “Worship with Us” webpage, you can click on a link to view the interior of a meetinghouse.
There are typically three meetings on Sunday at a Mormon church. Everyone attends the worship service. A second meeting divides into groups of men, women, and children. A third meeting divides into groups based on age.
There are 10 minute breaks between meetings. You may stay for as long or little as you wish.
Introduce yourself if you are new and members of the congregation will be happy to answer your questions.
While there is no enforced dress code, most members of the congregation wear dresses or shirts and ties. It is not uncommon to see jeans, but you may feel uncomfortable if you do so.
