Don't feel like this the next day!

There's all sorts of old wives' tales about how to beat a hangover, and most of them involve some pretty crazy steps. Here's an easy way to beat the "I drank way too much last night" regrets. In order for this hangover buster to work, you have to complete the steps before you go to bed; NOT when you wake up feeling awful.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Advil
  • Lots of water
  • Sleep
  1. Step 1

Drink more. But this time, make it water. Drink at least eight ounces of water before bedtime, more if you can handle it. After consuming copious amounts of alcohol, it is hard to remember to follow these steps, so try leaving the Advil and water on your bedside table.

  2. Step 2

Take the recommended dosage of Advil (or generic equivilent) with another four to eight ounces of water.

  3. Step 3

    Go to bed!

  4. Step 4

Keep another sixteen ounces of water by your bed to drink if you find yourself awake before morning.

  5. Step 5

Take more Advil and drink more water. If you wake up in the middle of the night with a headache and generally feeling sick, take another dose of Advil with at least four to eight ounces of water. Anytime you wake up in the middle of the night, use it as an opportunity to down some more water.

  6. Step 6

When you wake up the next day feeling refreshed, drink more water to help keep yourself hydrated. You'll be ready to go about your business. No hangover for you!

Tips & Warnings
  • Room temperature water might be easier to put down over cold water when you've been drinking.
  • Read the Advil bottle and take the recommended dosage. Don't overdose or over-medicate yourself!
  • Getting lots of water into your body before and during bedtime to keep yourself hydrated is key to overcoming the hangover.
  • This article is not written by a doctor and I can't be held liable for anything stupid that you do. This hangover buster works for tons of people I know. That doesn't mean you won't have a bad reaction.
  • Don't drink alcohol if you're pregnant.
  • Take it easy ... do you really need to drink that 18-pack of Miller Lite by yourself? Share!
  • Don't overdose on water. The recommended amount is 64 ounces a day.
