Things You'll Need:
- Shop towel
- Flathead screwdriver
-
Step 1
ScrewdriverPry the screwdriver between the base of the window crank and the door panel. You need to see the U-shaped clip before removing the window crank. Pay attention to what part of the window crank the open end of the metal clip is on. You will not need to use the screwdriver after you see which side of the clip is open.
-
Step 2
Metal clipWork the edge of the rag between the window crank and the door panel. You will insert the edge of the rag on top of the open section of the metal clip. Move the rag in a back and forth motion to pry the clip off. Do this as gently as you can. Excessive force will cause the metal clip to shoot from the crank and it could be difficult to find.
-
Step 3
Pull the base of the window crank to remove it from the door once the metal clip has been removed.
