Almond Oil is a common, natural oil used to treat dry, aging skin. It contains vitamins B1, A, B6 and B2. It can be used on skins that are dried, cracking, aged or sunburnt, and on young and supple skins to maintain that texture. Almond oil can be applied to any skin on the body, but it is especially good for the face, elbows, knees, arms and legs. To learn how to get the best results when using almond oil, follow these steps.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Soap
  • Exfoliating Item
  • Towel
  • Almond Oil
  • Liquid dropper
  1. Step 1

Wash and exfoliate the area of your body where you plan to apply the almond oil. You can exfoliate with a loofa, pumice stone, washcloth or something similar. Use warm water.

  2. Step 2

Dry off your skin with a towel and wait three to five minutes until your skin is no longer damp.

  3. Step 3

Apply two or three drops of almond oil to the skin you want to moisturize. Some almond oils come with a special opening at the top that allows for only droplets to come out. If your almond oil is not equipped with this feature, use a liquid dropper or be very careful with the amount you pour out. A little almond oil goes a long way.

  4. Step 4

Massage the oil into your skin for three to five minutes. Do not press hard. Instead, use soft, gentle and circular strokes. Continue until the almond oil has been absorbed into the skin.

Tips & Warnings
  • Wait for the almond oil to be completely absorbed before applying any cosmetics or lotions. Almond oil has an expiration date of approximately one year. If your almond oil has expired, discard it.
