Putting music downloaded from Limewire onto your Playstation Portable (PSP) is simple once you have the right hardware and software. Everything you need is either standard for the PSP or available for free online.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Memory Stick
  • PC with Memory Stick slot (optional)
  • Mini-USB cord (optional)
  1. Step 1

Download music from Limewire in the usual way. Be sure to make a note of where your Limewire music is downloaded.

  2. Step 2

Check to see that your files are in one of the following formats: *.mp3, *.mp4, *.wav, or *.wma. If you have different file formats, you will have to convert them using an audio converter. Some versions of iTunes and other .mp3 software are capable of this, or you can use one of many free conversion applications.

  3. Step 3

Put the Memory Stick into the appropriate slot in your PC or connect your PSP to your PC using a mini-USB cord. Open Windows Explorer, and open the drive used by your Memory Stick or PSP. Find the folder called "PSP," and open it. Then open the folder called "MUSIC." If the folder does not exist, create one by right clicking on the window and choosing "Folder" then "New." Name this folder "MUSIC" (all caps).

  4. Step 4

Open another window of Explorer, and go to the folder where you saved your Limewire music.

  5. Step 5

Copy and paste the desired files or folders into the Memory Stick window. Then remove the Memory Stick and place it in the PSP or simply unplug your PSP if using the mini-USB cord.

  6. Step 6

Turn on your PSP, and select MUSIC from the main menu. You can now choose the music tracks you want your PSP to play.
