Instructions

    • 1

Take off the doorknobs by removing the two screws on the collar of the inside doorknob and pulling the two knobs out from either side of the door.

    • 2

Remove the two screws on the latch plate on the edge of the door, above and below the latch.

    • 3

Grab the latch and pull it forward, out the front edge of the door. The whole lock barrel should come with it.

    • 4

Push the new lock barrel into the hole in the edge of the door, making sure the beveled edge of the latch is facing the door jamb. Secure the assembly in place by putting screws back in above and below the latch.

    • 5

Slide the two new doorknobs from the new kit through the holes on the face and back of the door, threading them through the lock barrel assembly that's visible through the hole in the door. Secure the screws through the collar of the inside knob as before.
