How to Make an Actual Retail Price List

The actual retail price is the amount a retail store charges its customers to purchase a product. An actual retail price list is a list that summarizes the retail price for all the products a store or business sells to consumers. This list is often used as a summary for a catalog or website from which orders can be made.

Instructions

    • 1

Create a header that includes your business name, logo (if you have one) and the year the price list is for. Include contact information for you business under the header. The customer should be able to easily identify what business the retail price list is for and how to contact you if they want to buy something.

    • 2

Create three columns. Include a header at the top of the each column; the first column is for the product ID, such as UPC or stock number; the second is a product description; and the last column is the actual retail price.

    • 3

Put the details for one item in each line. Include the product ID in the first column. Include a description of the product in the second column; the description should allow the customer to easily identify the product in question. In the third column, put the retail price for the item.

    • 4

Repeat for every item your business sells.

    • 5

Add any extra, relevant information at the bottom of the price list. This might include store hours, instructions for ordering or purchasing the products listed or a note that tax and shipping, if you deliver, are not included.

Tips & Warnings

  • Consider attaching an order form to your price list if you ship products to customers.
