A fan of Blues Clues is having a birthday and needs a cake. This television show on Nick, Jr. and also shown on Noggin, has developed a fan base of both children and their parents. With so many characters and ideas to draw from based on Blues Clues, the possibilities are almost limitless when it comes to creating a birthday cake.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Create a Blues Clues birthday cake out of Blue. Use icing and a piping bag to outline the shape of Blue on a sheet cake. Fill in with appropriate colors to make Blue look as realistic as possible. You can have a your local bakery do this. Add accessories of Blue’s friends. Those accessories can be found at discount stores as well as cake decorating supply stores and craft stores.

  2. Step 2

Create a birthday cake out of Mailbox. Instead of using a traditional cake, arrange cupcakes in the shape of Mailbox and decorate them to look like this Blues Clues character.

  3. Step 3

Use Thinking Chair as your inspiration for a Blues Clues birthday cake. Use cake decorating figurines of Joe (or Steve), Blue, Shovel and Pail or any of the other Blues Clues characters to decorate around Thinking Chair.

  4. Step 4

Keep it simple and decorate a Blues Clues birthday cake with Notebook. Use icing to write “Happy Birthday” on the lines of Notebook. Or, for fun, write in clues where the ice cream, birthday presents or party favors are hidden.
