How to Decorate with your Vacation Photos

When you take a vacation you take a lot of photos of your family and your vacation spot, but have you considering using those photos as part of your home decor? By keeping in mind the colors in your home, you can use your vacation photos to decorate your home and be reminded of a great vacation. Here's how you do it.

• Picture Frame

1. 
   Tall building on Highland Avenue

   When you go on vacation, take pictures of your family, but also take some pictures or your surroundings, like tall buildings, doorways, and landscaping. Take close up pictures of a brick wall or a parking meter. Take night shots of neon signs or backed up traffic on a city street. Take pictures of people when people are not posing.

2. 
   Photograph of a building

   Keep your home decor in mind when you are taking pictures. If you have orange accents in your home take pictures of sunsets or orange clothing. If you have blue accents take pictures of water and sky and maybe a close up picture of a pair of blue tennis shoes sitting on some steps. Search and find art around you through color.

3. 
   Picture going into black frame

   Look through your photos and choose some that you would like to use. Consider where you are going to put your pictures and decide what size you want the picture, before you print it out or have it developed.

4. 
   Subtle blues match together on the mantel

   Matching the decor in your home, choose the frame that you will be putting your photo into. To provide uniformity in your decorating, use the same color frames. When you go on your next vacation, take more pictures and change out your pictures.
