How to make apple raisin bundt cake

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup raspberry jam
  • 3 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3/4 teaspoons allspice
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 cups raisins
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup chopped peeled apples
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 teaspoons milk
  1. Step 1

    You will need a large mixing bowl to which you will add the butter and sugar. You will cream these ingredients together. You will then stir in the raspberry jam. Then you will add in the flour, baking soda, and spices.

  2. Step 2

    You will need to add this mixture in intervals add a little of the flour mixture and stir. Then add a little butter milk and stir. Continue this until the mixture has incorporated all the flour and buttermilk. Then beat this mixture to insure all ingredients are thoroughly mixed. Then stir in the raisins and apples.

  3. Step 3

    Then you will need to grease and flour your bundt pan. You will then pour the mix into the bundt pan and bake in a 350 degree oven for one hour or until you insert a tooth pick in the center and it comes out clean. Then remove from the oven and place on a wire rack and allow to cool completely. Then remove the cake from the pan.

  4. Step 4

    While the cake is cooling you can make the glaze. You will need a small mixing bowl where you will add the powdered sugar and milk. Mix these ingredients together and drizzle over top of the cake.
