Step 1
SENSITIVE SKIN -
You should look for something hypoallergenic and fragrance-free when you have sensitive skin. Look for the minerals titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. Both of these are sunblocks that sit on top of skin instead of being absorbed into the skin.
A good one is Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Sunblock Lotion SPF 60. -
Step 2
DRY SKIN -
Avoid alcohol based sunscreen, instead choose a lotion or cream with added hydrating ingredients like glycerin and aloe for best effects. Many sprays are alcohol based and will only further dry your skin out. -
Step 3
ACNE PRONE SKIN -
Avoid heavy or sticky feeling sunscreens as they can clog your pores and cause more acne. look for a light, oil-free lotion with both chemical sunscreens avobenzone and oxybenzone.
A good one is Hawaiian Tropic Oil Free Sensitive Skin Sunscreen SPF 50. -
Step 4
OILY SKIN -
Choose a grease-less formula to help avoid extra oils. Make sure you do not buy a sunscreen with mineral oil as an ingredient.
A good one is DDF Matte Finish Photo-Age Protection UV Moisturizer SPF 30. -
Step 5
ACTIVE SWIMMERS AND OUTDOOR SPORT ENTHUSIASTS -
You want to choose a long wearing waterproof formula. Look for either water-resistant or very water-resistant sunscreens. Follow the directions and reapply as often as needed. These are usually sweat proof at the same time so they are gret for outdoor exercising or sports.
A good one to try is Skin Effects by Dr. Jeffrey Dover Sun Effects SPF 45 Continuous Spray.
