The end of Summer will be coming sooner than you think. Are you ready to get your child back to school. This article can be easy but may become difficult if you wait. Work thru the steps and check each off as they are completed.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • School Supplies
  • Medical Immunization Form
  • Lunch Box
  • Back Pack
  • Uniform
  • School Information
  • Paper and Pencil
  1. Step 1

Call up or stop by the School your child will be attending. You should get a packet of required forms that must be completed prior to your child attending. There may be a specific uniforms, school supplies, lunch box or bag with their name on it, back pack and other items necessary for the first week.

  2. Step 2

Call your doctor and dentist to make appointments. Have their immunization forms ready. If their are any dental concerns have them handled now, you don't want to take your child out of school.

  3. Step 3

Get your child up in the morning. If this is not the first year, you should have continued a ROUTINE with them already. If this is your first year make sure your child is up at least one hour earlier than the time they start school. Timing is everything move your clock ahead five minutes it really helps.

  4. Step 4

Here is a ROUTINE I use and it works. You have to wake up earlier it is reality but it helps. I wake my daughter up at 6:30 a.m. and usually it is with the TV on. I'll get my daughter a drink and by 7:00 a.m. she is eating breakfast. By 7:30 the TV is off and she is out of bed and in the bathroom getting ready. At 7:45 she is getting dressed and we are out the door by 8:00 a.m. In between I am getting myself ready, eating breakfast and making the lunch.

  5. Step 5

Schedule after school activities as soon as possible. Some items fill up fast. Dance classes, Library story time, Karate or Art Classes but don't overwhelm the kids.

Tips & Warnings
  • Get everything ready ahead of time, don't delay.
  • Start a ROUTINE right away
  • Don't let the child run you.
  • Don't be late for school, it will disturb the rest of the class.
  • Don't wait till the last minute.
  • Don't assume you have every paper make sure you have them.
