Most slipcovers contain letters to let you know which sides are which. Follow instructions with letters if applicable. If not, use a helper to lay out the slipcover and determine the correct sides by visualization.

Start by pulling the slipcover over the chair, making sure not to rip the fabric but gently pulling it over arms and back. Continue pulling over the chair until all the sides are touching the floor.

If the slipcover contains ties, tie them into bows at their designated sections, making sure not to make the bow too tight. Tuck any remaining fabric into all crevices and stretching to get rid of all wrinkles. Once the fabric is tucked, you will have a new slip-covered chair.

Tips & Warnings

  • To get any wrinkles out of the slipcover before putting on the chair, put in dryer for 15 minutes with damp cloth, unless otherwise noted. Make sure to get the proper slipcover for your chair type. Anything that does not match will not look right once put on.
