Things You'll Need:
- a brain
-
Step 1
In this lesson we will be talking about position at the table and how it affects your hand selection before the flop
-
Step 2
First of all there are three positions to concentrate on. Early, middle and late position each of which will have a dramatic affect on which hands you will be playing
-
Step 3
Early position which is the player to the immediate left of the big blind as well as the two players to the immediate left of that player from this position you will only want to play premium hands the reason for this is you have the entire table to act after you so you only want to play hands you will be willing to call a reraise with hands you should be playing are Aces, kings, queens, jacks,Ak,Aq,kq suited.
-
Step 4
From middle position u should open your game up playing 8s or better and high suited connectors such as QJ,KQ,KJ
-
Step 5
From late position you can play any pair 89 suited or better but be careful not to raise to often with these very weak hands people will eventually catch on and start reraising you and you don't want to spend to much before the flop with an inferior hand
