Things You'll Need:
- You will need a picture of an animal. A cat, dog, horse, cow, rabbit or whatever animal your children like.
- Cotton Balls (bag)
- Glue Stick
- Markers
- Crayons
-
Step 1
This project is so much fun and I find that little ones become very creative with this art work. Anytime we do this creative project I always make sure that I hang the pictures up on the wall because the children are so proud of them. These pictures are so nice that they will draw the eye of visitors when they come to visit. Actually these pictures would make very nice presents for Grandma and Grandpa.
-
Step 2
Copy pictures of animals on separate sheets of paper. If you want to keep the picture for a long time use construction paper because it seems to hold up well to craft projects. Let your children pick the color of the paper that they like. It doesn't matter if your cow is pink, blue, or red as long as your little one likes it. Line up on a table cotton balls and glue sticks, markers and crayons. Because you are working with glue it may be a good idea to put down some type of cover on your table.
-
Step 3
Have the children color in the animals face with markers and crayons and this would also be a good time for them to practice writing their name on paper. The next step is to show them how to use a glue stick. The first time you do this project you may want to make a picture yourself so they can see how you do it. If a child doesn't know how to do a craft they get frustrated but if they can see exactly how you do it then they will follow your pattern. Have them place glue on each part of their picture that they want to be fuzzy and furry. You will be surprised at how talented your children are. They will make some really unique pictures and the finished picture will be unique and actually very nice. I love doing this project with little ones. They will feel very special when they've finished their art project.
