Tired of seeing these in your house?

If you are sick of ants in your home, and do not want to use dangerous chemicals like RAID to get rid of them, especially in your kitchen, try baby powder as a natural alternative.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Scented Baby Powder
  1. Step 1

Track the line of ants to determine where they are entering your home.

  2. Step 2

Cover the line in a relatively thick layer of baby powder.

  3. Step 3

Wait half an hour to an hour. The ants should vanish in this time, back where they came from. They aren't gone for good, they just hate the baby powder, especially if it is scented.

  4. Step 4

Place a line of baby powder around where the ants are entering your home to form a sort of natural barrier that they do not like to cross.

  5. Step 5

Clean up the baby powder in your home. A dust pan followed by a quick swipe with a wet rag will do the trick nicely.

  6. Step 6

Continue to refresh the baby powder line at the boundary of your home. If the ants find a new entry, repeat steps 1-5.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep your kitchen clean to help prevent tempting the ants.
  • Some ants may not be able to escape because of the baby powder. Just squish them when you see them, or wipe them up with a soapy rag.
