The Trojan Horse Generic3 virus is also know as the MSN Trojan virus. The Trojan will spread to your computer through the MSN Messenger program. Once your computer is infected with the virus, it will then attempt to send a copy of itself to every contact that is listed on your MSN Messenger contact list. The easiest means to remove the Trojan Horse Generic3 virus is to use a specially designed tool such as the MSN Virus Removal Tool.

Things You'll Need:

  • MSN Virus Removal Tool
  1. Step 1

    Download and run the MSN Virus Removal Tool listed in the Resources section of this article.

  2. Step 2

    Choose "Remove Infected Files" after the virus tool has finished scanning your computer.

  3. Step 3

    Select the "Start" menu and type "droll.exe" in the search text field followed by the "Enter" key. If your computer returns any copies of the "droll.exe" file, you will need to run the MSM Virus Removal Tool a second time to fully clean your computer. If none are returned, then the Trojan Horse Generic Virus3 is removed from your computer.
