Things You'll Need:
- dog shampoo
- clippers
- towel
- water hose (optional)
- bath tub (optional)
- Plastic tub (optional)
- Towels
-
Step 1
Wash the dog's hair either outdoors or inside the house. Put your dog in the bathtub to keep water from going all over the kitchen floor. Pour water over the dog to wet him. Pout some dog shampoo directly on, and rub gently until you get a lot of lather. Start at the head and work towards the rear of the dog. Rinse off the suds and dry with a towel.
-
Step 2
Remove the dog from the tub, and stand him a towel on the floor. Brush him lightly and completely using a dog brush. Always begin working from the head towards the tail.
-
Step 3
Use the clippers to clip the dog and do not go down to the skin. Just remove the outer coat that is too long. Think of it as a trim, as you would have if you went to the barber.

on 7/21/2009 I learned how to clip my dogs hair years ago, before there were groomers in our town. You give excellent instruction. Thanks!
