Hard-boiled eggs are quick and easy to make and can be used in various ways. Fresh eggs are the hardest to peel because the shell tends to cling more to the membranes. The Egg Board recommends boiling eggs that have been in the refrigerator a few days. Don’t peel your hard-boiled eggs until you are ready to use them. Instructions

      Cool egg in cold water after hard-boiling. Cool at least so you can comfortably handle the egg. Eggs are easiest to peel right after cooling.

      Crack the egg by gently tapping on the countertop.

      Roll the egg in your hands to loosen the shell.

      Starting at the larger end, begin to remove the shell. Hold the egg under running water to make peeling easier.

      Rinse well when done peeling to remove all the shell.
