Things You'll Need:
- Mild Soap
- Benzoyle Peroxide
- Water-based makeup (optional)
- Acne treatment (optional)
-
Step 1
In order to cure adult acne, you'll need to wash your face with a mild soap once or twice a day. Don't wash too much though, for you don't want to irritate your skin. Washing your face will both clean your adult acne and help prevent any further acne breakouts.
-
Step 2
Always be gentle with your skin when you cure adult acne. Your skin is suffering enough from the acne as it is. When you wash your skin, don't scrub hard and try to stay away from exfoliating, since this can cause irritation.
-
Step 3
For a week, dab benzoyle peroxide onto your skin to break up dead skin cells, bacteria, and oil that have a habit of clogging your pores and causing adult acne. Start applying benzoyle peroxide twice a day only if your skin isn't irritated by it. There has been mixed controversy of toothpaste being able to cure adult acne, but try it if you like.
-
Step 4
In order to cure adult acne and prevent pimples from appearing, keep your fingers off of your face to keep the oil on your hands from clogging your skin pores. Also, never pick, press, or rub your acne because this can cause scarring, more pimples, and infections.
-
Step 5
Keep your skin from anything that contains oil so that you don't pick up any further adult acne. This includes oil-based makeup. Use water-based makeup instead. You can also change your bed sheets regularly to prevent any bacteria and oil from attacking you while you're sleeping. You don't want more acne while you're trying to cure adult acne you already have.
-
Step 6
Eat a good diet with lots of nutrients to keep your skin healthy. Drinking water will also help cure adult acne as well.
-
Step 7
Cure adult acne by reducing your stress, for stress often causes acne breakouts. You can take a walk outside to clear your head, but try to worry less.
-
Step 8
If you're still prey to acne, try adult acne treatment to cure adult acne. However, most acne treatments have a habit of making your skin dry, so be careful. After 3 months of adult acne treatment and you're still suffering from those ugly pimples, contact a doctor to find out if it's alright for you to take mild antibiotics to treat adult acne that are only available by prescription.

on 8/17/2009 unfortunately I had a problem with acne. Proactive works wonders at least for me. I also know not to wash my face in excess because your skin will actually produce more oil thus giving you an excess and more pimples.
