How to Create Video Email
Millions of email messages are sent daily to friends, family, business associates and companies around the world. Email is quick and easy. You don't have to buy a stamp for it to get delivered, and there is no time delay in the other party receiving the message. You can even create and send a video with your e-mail.
Instructions

-
1
Open your webcam application and make sure your camera is connected to your computer.
-
2
Enter the "settings mode" for your webcam and set the output size to 320 X 240, frame rate of 24, 8 bit color and the color mode/space to RGB 24 (your software may have similar wording). You want to create a video that is small enough to email to someone---so your settings cannot be set for high quality. Save the settings; your camera should now be on and ready to record.
-
-
3
Turn on a spotlight, lamp or other light source to illuminate your video. You want a clear, brightly lit video. Adjust the camera so you are not too close, but in the center of the frame.
-
4
Connect your microphone if it is not built into the computer. Set any audio settings for your microphone (your webcam software should have settings for the audio).
-
5
Record a test video to check the audio, video and placement of your webcam. Make any needed adjustments.
-
6
Record your video---don't use too many motions. Project your voice, but don't overdo it. Try to be natural and make it short. A long video will produce a large file, so try to keep it concise. Save your video once you are done. Make sure to save the file to a directory where you can easily locate it. View the video to make sure it recorded clearly, that the audio is clear and loud enough and the lighting is correct.
-
7
Open your email client, create a new email and embed the video within the body of the email or attach the video as a "file attachment." Enter the email address of the person you are sending it to and then click "Send."

Close any open programs that you are not using before recording your video.
Do not use the highest setting to record your video---set your webcam software to record a small enough video so you can email it.
