I am one "free sample momma" who is crazy about getting free samples. I don't care what it is, I want it ;)

The following are a few tips and tricks I use when looking for free samples online.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Just common sense
  1. Step 1
    Free Email
    Free Email

This is the most important step. ALWAYS sign up for a free email account at Yahoo, Gmail or the like so when you do sign up for that free sample, all of the correspondence goes to your freebie email account. Let's face it, the whole purpose of giving out free samples is to gain customers and they will send you information.

  2. Step 2
    Newsletter
    Newsletter

On the same note as a freebie email to avoid spam, make sure when you are filling out a sample form that you leave the "subscribe to newsletter" box unchecked. This is of course if you don't want to receive emails from the company. For the well-known companies I always opt in so I can get future deals and coupons.

  3. Step 3
    Avoid Freebie Scams
    Avoid Freebie Scams

Avoid email farming sites. Most well respected free sample listing sites will alert you of possible scams BUT even the best freebie finder will come across one that dupes them. If the site appears new, it may be better to avoid it. If you feel iffy about a site, contact them by phone to see if they are legit.

  4. Step 4
    Phone for freebies
    Phone for freebies

Another great way to get freebies is to simply call the company direct and ask for one. The worst they will do is say no. You may even get a few coupons out of the deal as well.

  5. Step 5
    Google Auto-Fill
    Google Auto-Fill

If you are as crazy for free samples as I am, make sure you have an auto-fill program or activate Google's. This will save you a ton of time filing out all of those forms!

Tips & Warnings
  • Always read the manufactures terms when filling out a free sample request.
