  • Stand mixer or hand mixer
  • 2 tbsp.sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream

      Place the bowl of your stand mixer and the heavy cream into the freezer. Allow it to sit in the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes. If you are using a hand mixer place the bowl you plan on using int the freezer. Getting the bowl and cream cold results in a better product.

      Attach the whisk to the stand mixer or place the whisks into the hand mixer. Place the cream and sugar into the bowl. Turn on the mixer and beat until stiff peaks form.

      Store whipped cream in an airtight container for up to 10 hours. If necessary, you can re-whip the mixture lightly prior to serving.

      Flavor whipped cream as you are beating the mixture, before the stiff peaks have formed. Vanilla bean paste, almond extract, rum and cocoa powder are popular additions.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don't overbeat the mixture or you could end up with sweet butter.
