How to Setup Counter Strike Source Dedicated Server
The popular video game Counter Strike Source enables players to run a dedicated server, in which a user makes his own server for others to join and play on. The Source Dedicated Server is free and anyone who owns a Valve game that uses the Source game engine can host his own server. It is not difficult to set up a dedicated server on a Windows operating system, but using some of the commands requires previous knowledge and getting used to.

Create a new Steam account. The new Steam account will host the dedicated server. You cannot join the server while running it from the same account. Therefore, you must create one Steam account that runs dedicated servers and one Steam account to play on them. You do not need games on the Steam account that runs the dedicated server.
