How to Fix a User32.dll Error

User32.dll errors come from issues inside Windows that involve the User32.dll file. This file contains important information regarding graphics details for objects such as dialog boxes. When there is an issue with the file, there will be problems when using other programs that use dialog boxes and other pop-up windows. Normally, a quick Windows update will solve all errors and problems.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Click the "Start" button and then "Run." This will open the "Run" window.

  2. Step 2

    Type in "wupdmgr". This will open Windows Update. It will now scan the computer to detect any necessary updates that are available from Microsoft.

  3. Step 3

    Turn on automatic updates by clicking "Start" again, followed by "All Programs," then "Windows Update."

  4. Step 4

    Select "Change Settings"; then select "Include recommended updates when downloading, installing, or notifying me about updates." Click "OK" and everything will be set. Windows will download the necessary update and install it to correct the User32.dll errors
