How to Backup your Firefox Favorites

With more and more internet users changing over to Firefox for internet browsing, how do you backup your internet favorites? We all have those websites that we frequently visit and have added these sites to our favorites. This How to will walk you through the process of backing up your favorites.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Download Firefox
  1. Step 1

    Open Firefox and go to your Home Page. Starting on the top left hand side find the toolbar starting with "File." Scroll across the toolbar and select "Bookmarks."

  2. Step 2

    Scroll down until you see "Organize Favorites." Then click on "Organize Favorites." A new window will now open.

  3. Step 3

    On the toolbar you will see a button "Import and Backup." Click on "Import and Backup" and scroll down to "Backup." A new window will pop-up allowing you to name your file or allow the default name. Once you have selected the file name just click "save" and you are done.

Tips & Warnings
  • It is always recommneded that you backup your Favorites to a USB/Flash drive or an external Hard Drive.
  • Failure to backup your Favorites can lead to a loss of your favorites if your computer crashes.
