People who have dogs that goober know that you can't STAND it when you have just given the dog a bath and they slobber all over their front AGAIN just when you have company coming! Here's a sure fire bib that actually covers the dog's front, stays on, and keeps your dog's front clean, and is CHEAP to make.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • several old t-shirts
  • scissors
  • a slobbery dog
  1. Step 1

Get out an old t-shirt that is sized LARGE for an adult big dog, or a size that would correspond depending on the breed of the dog. It helps to have several old t-shirts handy. It doesn't matter what color the shirts are or how old they are!

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

cut off both sleeves, then cut a slit from the bottom of the front (or back) of the t-shirt straight up to the neck and cut AROUND just each side of the neck, leaving one side of the t-shirt intact. Your shirt will look like the illustration at this point.

  3. Step 3

Trim the t-shirt so that it looks like the shape of a large triangle, with the intact neck ribbing at the top. Trim along the dotted lines as shown in the illustration.

slip the t-shirt over the head of the dog, and take the two ends of the triangle, pull them through between the front legs of the dog and tie the shirt over the top of the back! And you have a perfect "bib"!

Tips & Warnings
  • have several t-shirts handy and try them off by slipping the neck over the dog until you have a tshirt that fits snugly around the dog's neck, that is the shirt to use.
  • Keep an extra t-shirt handy so you have an extra for the dog when one is in the wash.
