If you have your own Dryer, you need to care for it properly.

One of the things that you need to do on a regular basis is to remove lint from the dryer.

Failure to remove lint from your dryer can result in poor performance and the risk of fire.

You should clean your lint screen after every load of laundry you dry in it.

Instructions
  1. Step 1
    This dryer has the lint screen in a compartment tha tis accessed from the top of the machine

    Take a close look at your dryer in order to locate the lint catch tray

    For most models this lint tray is located on the inside near the bottom of the door, but for other models the lint tray may be located inside a small door on the top of the machine.

    If you are unable to locate the lint removal tray you may need to consult the Manufacturers Informational guide or user manual.

  2. Step 2

    Once you have located the lint tray, you will need to open the access door if there is one.

    There should be a hand hold on the exposed portion of the lint tray.

    Grasp this firmly and pull it completely out of the dryer in a smooth and even motion

    Carefully remove the lint from the screen so that you do not damage the screening.

    Then slide the lint screen back inside it's particular compartment.

Tips & Warnings
  • You should use a long lint brush once a week to once a month to remove any lint that gets trapped inside the lint screen compartment. To do so, remove the screen then brush inside the compartment to remove accumulated lint
  • Failure to remove the lint from the screen and access compartment on a routine basis can cause fire.

on 9/9/2009 Removing lint from the dryer should be done on a regular basis. I line dry my clothes at this point, but I remember dealing with this. The tips and accompanying photos are very helpful. Thanks.
