Do you want to save money and make your own silk flower bouquets? It is easier than you may think.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Plastic Nosegay (bouquet holder)
  • Silk flowers and greenery in your choice of colors
  • Florist Tape
  • Hot glue gun with glue sticks
  • Ribbons and other decorations of your choosing
  1. Step 1

Preheat your glue gun. You may want to place it on wax paper to make clean up of drips easier.

  2. Step 2

Arrange the flowers and greenery to your liking. You should make sure that you are happy with the arrangement before moving on to the next step.

  3. Step 3

Grasp all of the stems together and wrap tightly in floral tape. This will be the handle to your bouquet. Put the taped stems through the nosegay.

  4. Step 4

Trim the stems sticking through the back of your nosegay as needed to make a comfortable handle. Make sure it is a comfortable length before cutting it. You can always cut off more, but you can never add it back on.

  5. Step 5

Use the hot glue to attach any ribbons or decorations you would like to add to your silk flowers. Ribbons can be curled using scissors if you prefer.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can add a touch of color to your flowers by painting the tips of the petals with fabric paint. Just make sure that you have allowed them to dry completely before adding them to the bouquet.
  • Always use caution when handling a hot glue gun. They can drip and the melted glue can cause bad burns.
