Comfrey
Lemon Balm
Lovage
Lemongrass
Peppermint
Spearmint
Pennyroyal
Violet
Valerian
Yarrow

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Division works best when done in the early spring when the plant is growing quickly. This also allows the plants roots to become well established before harsh winter weather arrives. The plants are divided and replanted outdoors.

  2. Step 2

Dig up the plant and separate the plants by pulling the roots apart. For large fibrous roots, cut them apart into 2 or 3 pieces with a sharp knife.

  3. Step 3

Replant each divided plant and water immediately. Check the divided plants periodically to ensure they have enough water. Most herbs thrive when divided in early spring.
