How to Pack for Rainy Weather

Taking steps to keep yourself dry will ensure a safe and comfortable travel experience.

Things You’ll Need:

• Hooded Jackets
• Luggage Sets
• Socks
• Waterproof Rain Gears
• Windbreakers
• Towels
• Plastic Bags

1. Pack one sturdy rain poncho or waterproof windbreaker with a hood and plenty of pockets.
2. Include one or two plastic bags for storing wet clothes in between washings.
3. Bring a pair of foldable rubber galoshes.
4. Pack a dry towel in case of emergency rainstorms.
5. Fold a plastic tarp and place it on the bottom of your suitcase. In extreme cases, a tarp can be used as a tent or body cover.
6. Take a small, collapsible umbrella that you can tuck into a suitcase pocket.
7. Take a few extra pairs of warm socks. Feet should be kept dry at all times.

Tips & Warnings

• Keep your hair as dry as possible. You will lose much of your body heat through a wet head.
• If you get wet, dry off as soon as possible to avoid body chill, colds or other problems.
