Tips & Warnings
If the accident occurred on hard flooring, wipe up the mess and spray with the vinegar and water mixture. Wipe away with a clean cloth. If the accident has gone unnoticed and the area is dry, try hydrogen peroxide. Test the peroxide in a less visible area first to make sure there won't be any discoloration. Let the peroxide saturate the area then blot (don't rub) with a clean, dry cloth.
Although vinegar should be safe for most surfaces, test a less visible area first to make sure there's no discoloration.
