Instructions

    • 1

Cut 2 egg shapes from heavy card stock. Make sure they are the proper size to fit inside your envelopes. Cut a third egg shape that is 1/4 inch smaller than the other two.

    • 2

Place the two larger egg shapes on top of one another with the fat end of the egg on the bottom. Glue the bottoms and two-thirds of each side together, leaving the top third unglued.

    • 3

Write your invitation on the smaller egg. Draw or glue a picture of a dinosaur to the top portion of the smaller egg then write your invitation below it.

    • 4

Punch a hole in the top point of the smaller egg. Tie a ribbon through the hole.

    • 5

Decorate the front of the glued together eggs so that it resembles a dinosaur egg. Slide the smaller egg into the envelope made by the 2 large eggs, making sure the ribbon hangs out of the top.

    • 6

Open the invitation by pulling on the ribbon. The baby dinosaur will emerge from the egg with the invitation below. Place the invitation into a small invitation envelope for mailing.

Tips & Warnings

  • Instead of an egg shape inside, cut out a small dinosaur shape that fits into the egg envelope.
